Pooja Desai OTR/L CHT CPAM
My name is Pooja Desai. I’ve been an Occupational Therapist (OT) since 2004. I am also a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) since 2023. As an OT and CHT I’ve worked with in hospitals, inpatient rehab and outpatient orthopedic practices. My patients have included those suffering from:
stroke,
traumatic brain or spinal cord injuries,
cardiac patients post- pacemaker, bypass, or valve surgery,
post-brain surgeries including tumor removal, parkinsonism, multiple sclerosis, or ALS,
orthopedic injuries, including wrist fractures, tennis elbow, CMC arthroplasty (thumb arthritis surgery), biceps rupture, brachial plexus injuries, tendon transfers, and more.
I am passionate about working with patients who suffer with orthopedic injuries, especially injuries that effect the arm and hand. I successfully completed an 18-month accredited Hand Therapy fellowship from OrthoCarolina (Charlotte, NC) in 2021. Today, I specialize as both an Occupational and Certified Hand Therapist. My experience as an OT and CHT helps me treat my clients with compassion and deliver both excellent and meaningful outcomes. Above all, you will be satisfied having a therapist who truly cares about your success.
